At Murrieta Valley High School, we believe theatre opens a window to our deepest truths. As I explored the heart ot this production,
one image kept returning to me: the bridge. It’s on the bridge that the town of Bomont faces its greatest sorrows and its greatest hopes—the loss of
four young lives and the tender moment when Ariel and Ren finally find someone who sees them as they long to be seen.
The bridge is more than a place: it is a symbol. It speaks to the distance between generations, the pain of misunderstanding, and the hope that healing is possible. In Bomont—as in our own lives—the bridge can be rebuilt if we have the courage to reach out to one another.
Directing Footloose with the passionate and vibrant students of Murrieta Valley High School has been a true joy. Their spirit, laughter, and fierce commitment to the story lit up every rehearsal. Now, we invite you to join us—kick off your Sunday shoes and cut Footloose!
